I think I've told everything I know on the Display page. (Hey, we still have some unused wall space at the other end.) Did I miss anything? We have since added a new box inside the cabinet (not shown). Please post your questions or comments about Displaying Lego sets here.

How do you keep dust from accumulating? I'd like to do a big Modular Series street and keep it on display but worry about dust. You KNOW that these things fall apart sometimes at the slightest touch, but a street full of Modular buildings would be too large to keep inside a cabinet.

Several answers to this: (1) So far, NOT much dust has accumulated on our display, surprisingly, in almost 2 years. (2) On the modulars, most of the visible surfaces are vertical and very glossy plastic, which seems to repel dust - only the roofs (unseen) attract any dust. (3) I use a light electrostatic feather duster for what little I've found.

One more thing: (8) If one thinks of dust as something like snow that falls from above, the SHELVING above each completed model also tends to protect it from dust that is simply falling downward - i.e. like "fallout." (9) As you can see from the pictures, we tend to rearrange things a lot, and dust a little while moving things, if seems necessary. It's mostly just rooftops so far, not the vertical surfaces.

We did eventually get around to encasing many of the shelves with sheets of Lexan type plastic. About half the shelves remain without plastic windows -- because we tend to keep adding things or rearranging stuff. Just FYI.
