MOC pages: My Own Creations
After completing all the Harry Potter and Medieval sets, we were ready to design and build our own creations.
I bought some basic bricks, a house, a box of doors and windows, a couple bags of plants and trees, a box of roof tiles, and some small sets that I looted for parts - mostly horses and carriages. And of course all the extra wish list pieces we could find at the local Lego store, using the big plastic Pick a Brick cups. Fooling around with the bricks we had on hand -- usually late at night -- the following appeared first.

The Playable "Charmed" Manor by Sanddoodle
This is the second draft of my playable version of "Charmed" manor. It is about 90% complete - some small detail work yet to be done. I've been wanting to MOC this house since day one in the world of Lego.
By "playable" I mean that the rooms represent the familiar scenes of the TV series: the all-important Halliwell kitchen, the staircase with the door to Magic School, the sunny Solarium, the ever-destructible grandfather clock, and the attic with the Book of Shadows - and a doll house.
And of course four necessary mini-figs: Piper, Phoebe, Page and Leo. (I confined myself to residents of the house, not those of other dimensions or planes of existence. )

MISCELLANEOUS MOC ITEMSTHE UNOFFICIAL LEGO BUILDER'S GUIDE This is a useful book of ideas and how-to methods, especially for beginners in the hobby but also for experienced builders. Shows a variety of things you can do at various scales and from various angles. It provides some necessary terminology. This book contains the valuable "Brickopedia" for identifying and finding the parts you want when ready to place an order. (Click picture for link). See also: SMALL BUT FUN in the CITYSCAPE group. I like to kit-bash the little sets. |
